Shed Bad Skin With a Chemical Peel

Shed Bad Skin With a Chemical Peel

If you suffer from wrinkles, sun damage or light acne scarring, a chemical peel can dramatically improve your look.

A chemical peel is a type of skin rejuvenation treatment. It’s quick, and does not require any type of anesthesia. The doctor applies a chemical solution to your skin in order to strip away the outer layers that are damaged, exposing the healthy skin below. Chemical peels are tailored to the individual depending on the skin condition and pigmentation.

New Peel

Coral Gables Cosmetic Center offers different formulas, including the popular Vi Peel, which is a great option if you have a darker skin tone. This type of peel has many benefits. It can improve the tone, texture and clarity of your skin; help treat acne and other blemishes; reduce or even eliminate age spots, freckles and melasma; and soften lines and wrinkles. It also stimulates collagen production, which can lead to firmer skin. The results are immediate – within a week!

What to Expect

The Vi Peel takes less than 20 minutes, and is virtually painless. You’ll feel a slight stinging sensation as it’s performed, and then it goes away. You may have some redness afterwards, and light peeling for a few days, both of which are normal.

About Face

The Vi Peel can give your face a refreshed look, and it works on other parts of the body too. Some patients get it to remove sunspots from the hands, arms and chest, or to erase wrinkles caused by sun damage on areas like the décolletage.
