Lipo 360 in Miami shapes the abdomen, flanks and back in one surgery, with plastic surgeons Dr. Moises Salama, Dr. Decio Carvalho and Dr. Andrew Lofman. Packages start from $2,000, anesthesia included (consultation required; final price varies with the areas treated). You get a written quote after your consultation.
What it is: Lipo 360 is liposuction planned as one circumferential treatment of the midsection: the abdomen, the flanks (love handles) and the back are treated in the same surgery, so the waist is shaped from the front, the sides and the back.
Good candidates: adults near a stable weight, in good general health, non-smokers when possible, with stubborn fat around the waist and back and skin that still has good elasticity.
Who performs it: Lipo 360 at CG Cosmetic Surgery in Miami is performed by our liposuction surgeons, including Dr. Moises Salama, Dr. Decio Carvalho and Dr. Andrew Lofman, who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Where / anesthesia: elective surgery in our own Miami surgical facility, with anesthesia planned by our clinical team. Anesthesia is included in the price.
Recovery (typical): many patients return to lighter routines in a few days to 2 weeks. A compression garment is usually worn for 2 to 4 weeks, and swelling takes weeks to months to settle.
Price: liposuction packages at CG Cosmetic start from $2,000. Lipo 360 pricing depends on the areas included and the amount of fat treated. A consultation is required and you receive a written quote.
Updated November 2026. Individual plans and candidacy are determined in consultation. Results vary.
What Is Lipo 360?
Traditional liposuction often treats one area at a time, such as the lower abdomen. Lipo 360 plans the whole circle of the midsection together. Because the front, sides and back are treated as one plan, the transitions between them can look smoother, and the waist can look narrower from every angle, not only from the front.
A typical Lipo 360 plan includes:
Abdomen: the upper and lower abdomen
Flanks: the sides of the waist, often called love handles
Back: the lower back and, depending on your anatomy, the mid and upper back or bra line
Arms, thighs and the chin are separate areas. They can be added to the plan when it is safe to do so, and your surgeon explains how much can be treated in one surgery.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Lipo 360?
Lipo 360 works best for people who are close to their goal weight but keep fat around the waist and back that does not respond to diet and exercise. Good skin elasticity matters: skin that is still firm usually settles smoothly after fat is removed. If you have loose, hanging skin or separated abdominal muscles after pregnancy or weight loss, a tummy tuck may be the better option, alone or combined with liposuction.
Conditions such as uncontrolled diabetes, heart or circulation problems, or a recent large weight change can affect candidacy. Your surgeon reviews your health history and examines you at the consultation.
Lipo 360 vs. Traditional Liposuction

Lipo 360 cannot tighten loose skin, repair separated abdominal muscles, remove cellulite or replace weight loss. It shapes the fat that is there; the skin and muscles underneath are treated with other procedures when needed.
Lipo 360 and BBL
Lipo 360 treats the abdomen, flanks and back as one plan.
The fat removed during Lipo 360 can be purified and transferred to the buttocks in the same surgery. That combination is a Brazilian butt lift (BBL): Lipo 360 narrows the waist, and the transferred fat adds shape and volume to the buttocks, which is why the two are so often planned together. BBL packages at CG Cosmetic start from $4,500.
Not every patient needs or qualifies for both. The amount of fat available, your body mass index and your health all matter, and Florida has specific safety rules for buttock fat grafting. Your surgeon tells you at the consultation whether Lipo 360 alone, BBL or both fit your goals.
Lipo 360 With HD Sculpting
Some patients ask for a more athletic look. High-definition liposuction (Lipo HD) varies how much fat is removed in different spots to bring out the natural lines of the abdominal and torso muscles, and it can be planned as part of a Lipo 360. It does not build muscle, and it is not right for everyone: it works best for younger, active patients with good skin quality and no excess skin.
Watch Dr. Moises Salama explain who is a good candidate for Lipo HD in the video on this page. Your surgeon will tell you whether a defined result is a realistic goal for your anatomy.
The ideal Lipo HD patient is young, has good skin without excess, and is active and eats well. Etching definition on an overweight patient does not look natural.
Read the transcript
Who is a good candidate for the Lipo HD? So the ideal candidate is a patient who's young, who has good skin, does not have skin excess. And then the other thing is you want a patient that's athletic, that at least is active and likes to go to the gym, likes to eat well. What you don't want to do is take an overweight patient and try to make lines on them. It doesn't look good. It doesn't fit. So you want to make sure your patient is doing their part in being active and eating properly.
Lipo 360 Risks to Understand
Lipo 360 is surgery, and treating several areas in one session makes it a longer operation than single-area liposuction. Possible risks include:
Contour irregularities, dents or asymmetry
Fluid collection (seroma) and prolonged swelling
Numbness or changes in skin sensation
Skin discoloration or poor skin retraction
Infection and bleeding
Blood clots and, rarely, fat embolism
Reactions to anesthesia
Risk rises with the amount of fat removed and the length of surgery, so your surgeon sets safe limits and may recommend staging larger plans. Smoking and nicotine raise the risk of healing problems. Your surgeon reviews the risks that apply to you before you decide.
Techniques Used in Lipo 360
Liposuction techniques fall into a few general categories. Tumescent technique, where the area is infiltrated with a dilute anesthetic solution, is commonly used with all of them. Suction-assisted liposuction is the most widely used approach, and ultrasound-assisted and power-assisted methods are other general categories that some surgeons use for certain areas. Which technique fits you is decided by your surgeon after examining you. Open the cards below to learn more.

On the day of surgery, your surgeon marks the areas to treat while you are standing. After anesthesia, a tumescent solution is infused to reduce bleeding and discomfort. Through small incisions, a thin cannula loosens and suctions the fat. You are repositioned during surgery so the surgeon can reach the flanks and back as well as the abdomen. The incisions are closed or left to drain, and a compression garment is put on before you go home.
Areas Treated in Lipo 360
Upper and lower abdomen
Flanks (love handles) and the sides of the waist
Lower back, and the mid back or bra line when needed
Surgery time depends on the areas included and the amount of fat. Your surgeon gives you an estimate at the consultation.
Lipo 360 Recovery
Recovery is personal, and your surgeon gives you a written plan. In general terms, it goes in stages:
First days: rest at home with help, take medication as directed and wear your compression garment. Short, gentle walks support circulation. Expect soreness, swelling, bruising and some fluid drainage from the incisions.
First 2 weeks: many patients return to lighter work when cleared. You keep wearing compression and attend follow-up visits. CG Cosmetic offers post-op lymphatic drainage massage with our own licensed massage therapists and nurses, usually from 24 to 72 hours after surgery; follow your surgeon's instructions.
2 to 6 weeks: activity increases as your surgeon clears you. Strenuous exercise waits until you are cleared.
Weeks to months: swelling and numbness settle and the contour keeps refining.
Tell the clinic about any fever, severe or one-sided pain, shortness of breath or other concern right away.
When Will I See My Lipo 360 Results?
Swelling hides the new shape at first, so early photos can be misleading. Most patients see a gradual improvement over weeks to months as swelling goes down. Fat cells removed from the treated areas do not grow back, but the remaining fat cells can still enlarge with weight gain, so a stable weight helps you keep your result. Results vary.
Lipo 360 or Tummy Tuck?
Lipo 360 removes fat; a tummy tuck removes loose skin and can repair separated abdominal muscles. If your main concern is stubborn fat with firm skin, Lipo 360 may be enough. If you have loose skin or a belly that stays rounded because of muscle separation after pregnancy, a tummy tuck is usually needed, and the two can be combined. See Lipo 360 with a tummy tuck.
Lipo 360 Questions
How much does Lipo 360 cost in Miami?
Liposuction packages at CG Cosmetic start from $2,000, with anesthesia included. Lipo 360 pricing depends on the areas included and the amount of fat treated. A consultation is required, and you receive a written quote for your plan.
What areas does Lipo 360 treat?
Lipo 360 treats the abdomen, the flanks (love handles) and the back as one plan. Arms, thighs or the chin can be added when it is safe to do so.
Is Lipo 360 the same as a tummy tuck?
No. Lipo 360 removes fat around the waist and back. A tummy tuck removes loose skin and can repair separated abdominal muscles. Some patients need one, some both.
Can I combine Lipo 360 with a BBL?
Yes, when you qualify. The fat removed during Lipo 360 can be transferred to the buttocks in the same surgery, which is a Brazilian butt lift. BBL packages start from $4,500.
How long is Lipo 360 recovery?
Many patients return to lighter routines within a few days to about 2 weeks. Strenuous exercise waits until your surgeon clears you, and swelling can take weeks to months to settle fully.
How long do I wear a compression garment after Lipo 360?
A compression garment is usually worn for 2 to 4 weeks, and sometimes longer. Your surgeon tells you how long and how tight it should be.
Am I a good candidate for Lipo 360?
Good candidates are adults near a stable weight, in good health, with stubborn fat around the waist and back and skin with good elasticity. Loose skin may call for a tummy tuck instead.
Are Lipo 360 results permanent?
Fat cells removed from the treated areas do not grow back. The remaining fat cells can still enlarge if you gain weight, so keeping a stable weight helps you keep your result.
What is the difference between Lipo 360 and Lipo HD?
Lipo 360 describes which areas are treated: the whole midsection. Lipo HD describes a more detailed sculpting style that aims to show muscle lines. HD sculpting can be part of a Lipo 360 plan when you are a good candidate.

Suction-assisted liposuction (SAL)
Suction-assisted liposuction (SAL) is the most widely used approach: a small cannula and suction remove fat through tiny incisions. It can address larger areas such as the abdomen or back, as well as smaller pockets when appropriate.
Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL)
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) uses ultrasonic energy to help loosen fat before removal. It is summarized here for education. Your surgeon will explain whether any adjunct technique is relevant to your plan.
Power-assisted liposuction (PAL)
Power-assisted liposuction (PAL) uses a mechanized cannula that can reduce surgeon fatigue during larger or multi-area cases. Availability and fit for your case are confirmed in consultation.
Twin-cannula assisted liposuction (TCAL or just TCL)
Specialized cannula designs (for example, twin-cannula systems) are intended to improve the efficiency of fat removal. They are described here as a general category for education; ask your surgeon which tools are relevant to your plan.
Tumescent liposuction
Tumescent fluid (saline with dilute local anesthetic) is commonly used with liposuction to help numb tissue, reduce bleeding, and make fat removal more comfortable. Exact fluid planning is part of the operative plan.

How long does Lipo 360 surgery take?
It depends on the areas included and the amount of fat. Lipo 360 takes longer than single-area liposuction because the abdomen, flanks and back are treated and you are repositioned during surgery. Your surgeon gives you an estimate at the consultation.
Does Lipo 360 get rid of cellulite?
No. Lipo 360 removes deeper fat pockets; cellulite sits closer to the skin surface. Some patients see a softer appearance, but cellulite removal should not be the expectation.
How much does Lipo 360 cost?
Liposuction packages start from $2,000 with anesthesia included. Lipo 360 pricing depends on the areas included and the amount of fat treated, and is confirmed in a written quote after your consultation.
Lipo 360 risks
Expected short-term effects include bruising, swelling, soreness and temporary numbness. Risks to discuss include contour irregularity, asymmetry, seroma, infection, blood clots and anesthesia reactions. Risk rises with larger volumes and longer surgery.
Will Lipo 360 leave scars?
Lipo 360 uses several small incisions, usually placed where underwear or the natural creases can hide them. Scars are small and fade over months, though all surgery leaves some lasting mark.
