Labiaplasty in Miami
Labiaplasty at CG Cosmetic Surgery in Miami reduces and reshapes the labia minora (the inner lips of the vulva) with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Moises Salama. Women choose it for comfort in clothing, exercise and intimacy, or for how the area looks. Your consultation is private, and your price is confirmed in a written quote after it.
What Is Labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty (also called labia reduction or labioplasty) is surgery that reduces the size of the labia minora, evens out asymmetry, or reshapes the edges. Size and shape vary widely from woman to woman, and there is no single "normal." Labia can also change with genetics, childbirth, hormones and age.
Many women look into labiaplasty because longer or uneven labia get pinched or rubbed in tight clothing, during cycling, running or riding, or during sex. Others are bothered by how the area looks. At your consultation Dr. Salama listens to what bothers you, examines the area and explains what surgery can and cannot change. When it fits your goals, labiaplasty can be combined with a reduction of the clitoral hood or of the labia majora (the outer lips).

Who Is a Good Candidate for Labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty tends to be a good fit for adult women who:
- Feel discomfort, pinching or irritation from the labia in clothing, during exercise or during sex
- Have labia that are longer, uneven or stretched, for example after childbirth
- Are in good general health, are not pregnant and, ideally, do not smoke
- Are choosing the surgery for themselves, with realistic expectations
Some women prefer to wait until they have finished having children, because a vaginal delivery can stretch the area again. This is something to discuss at your consultation. Labiaplasty treats the outer anatomy; it does not tighten the vaginal canal. CG Cosmetic also offers vaginoplasty and non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation, and Dr. Salama can explain which option matches your concern.
How Labiaplasty Is Done
Dr. Salama plans the new shape with you before surgery. The extra tissue is removed and the edges are closed with fine, usually dissolvable stitches. Depending on your anatomy, he may trim along the edge of the labia or remove a wedge of tissue so the natural edge is kept; he explains which approach fits you and why. Labiaplasty is usually an outpatient procedure, so you go home the same day. The anesthesia plan for your procedure is explained at your consultation.
Privacy and Your Consultation
Many women feel nervous about bringing up this topic. Your consultation takes place in a private exam room, you can ask for a female staff member to be present during the exam, and your information is kept confidential. Feel free to ask any question you have. You can start with our online evaluation if you would like to ask your first questions from home.
Labiaplasty Recovery
Recovery varies, and Dr. Salama gives you written instructions. In general terms:
- First days: swelling, bruising and soreness are expected. Rest, use cold packs as directed, wear loose cotton underwear and avoid sitting for long periods.
- About the first week: many women return to desk work when cleared. Swelling is still present and goes down gradually.
- About four to six weeks: most women are cleared for sex, tampons, swimming and more intense exercise around this time, but only when your surgeon confirms it.
- Following months: the last swelling settles and the scars soften and become hard to see.
Call the clinic right away if you notice heavy bleeding, swelling that keeps increasing, fever, a bad-smelling discharge or a wound that opens.
Labiaplasty Risks
Labiaplasty is surgery, and like any surgery it has risks. They include:
- Swelling, bruising and pain
- Bleeding or a collection of blood (hematoma)
- Infection
- Separation of the wound edges, which may need more time to heal or a small repair
- Asymmetry, irregular edges or removal of more or less tissue than desired
- Changes in sensation, or discomfort during sex
- Reactions to anesthesia
Dr. Salama reviews the risks that apply to you before you decide. Results vary.
How Much Does Labiaplasty Cost in Miami?
The price of labiaplasty at CG Cosmetic depends on the areas treated (labia minora only, or also the clitoral hood or labia majora), whether it is combined with another procedure, and your surgical plan. After your consultation you receive a written quote with what is included. Labiaplasty done for cosmetic reasons is usually not covered by insurance. Ask about our financing options to spread the cost into monthly payments (subject to credit approval).
Labiaplasty Questions

Labiaplasty is surgery that reduces or reshapes the labia minora, the inner lips of the vulva. It can also include a reduction of the clitoral hood or the labia majora when that fits the patient's goals.
Who performs labiaplasty at CG Cosmetic?
Labiaplasty at CG Cosmetic in Miami is performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Moises Salama.
How much does labiaplasty cost in Miami?

How long is labiaplasty recovery?
Many women return to desk work in about a week when cleared. Sex, tampons, swimming and intense exercise are usually avoided for about four to six weeks, until your surgeon confirms you can resume them.
Does labiaplasty leave scars?
The incisions follow the edge or the natural folds of the labia and are closed with fine stitches. Once healed, the scars are usually soft and hard to see.
Can I have labiaplasty before having children?
Yes, but a later vaginal delivery can stretch the area again, so some women prefer to wait until they have finished having children. Dr. Salama discusses the timing with you.
Is labiaplasty the same as vaginal rejuvenation?
No. Labiaplasty reshapes the labia. Vaginal rejuvenation refers to procedures that address the vaginal canal, such as vaginoplasty or non-surgical treatments. CG Cosmetic offers both, and the right option depends on your concern.
